It happened during warmups for Arsenal?s FA Cup match with Leeds on Monday night, as ESPN analyst Martin Keown ? a former Arsenal defender ? was just asked a question and ? wham! He took a soccer ball right to the side of the head. The shot seemed to come from the Leeds side of the field, which was a bit suspicious.
Keown seemed to take it all in stride, considering.
At the time, and through gritted teeth, Keown joked that Michael Brown, Keown?s assailant, couldn?t have been aiming for him as ?he would have missed if he?d tried.?
Sadly for Leeds, it would be the only time all night they would convert. Arsenal won, 1-0.
This is all very odd, actually, because soccer players usually aim for female reporters.
